Logitech G110 Overview
Here we look at the Logitech G110 gaming Keyboard, one of the cheapest models in the Logitech range.

This product is aimed at specialist gamers lacking the funds to be able to purchase any of the more expensive keyboards such as the G19, available but still giving you most of the abilities required of a dedicated gaming device. Summary
Not quite so many features as other considerably costlier models, but gamers love their Logitech G110s, and with good reason. The soft keys are excellent, almost silent in operation and respond smoothly to the lightest touch. It can take a little bit of time to get to grips with the left hand extra key placement, but it will not take long to master and the Macro keys are also excellent. If you are a dedicated gamer looking to upgrade or renew your old keyboard and do not have tons of cash to spend you will have to go a long way to beat the available features and better the slick operation of the Logitech G110 Gaming Keyboard, it scores well aboce average in all departments.

Having said that in this price range there are a few other models you might want to consider, for a few dollars more the Cyborg V7 is available, then for around the same price as the G110 is the much-improved Razer Lycosa, and for around ten dollars less there is the Microsoft Sidewinder X6 which is still going strong, also in this price range is the Thermaltake Tt eSports Challenger

I’d have to say the answer to this question in my opinion would have to be yes of course it is. It all boils down to the age old battle of girls verse boys, just like boys always argue that they are better drivers and girl can’t play football. Even though we have so called equal rights, I don’t believe that we are ever really classed as equals.

I won’t deny the fact that certain steps have been made by gaming companies to stamp out the sexism in the gaming world but in my opinion it’s a stereotypical and condescending approach that’s been used. The release of pink games consoles and so called games for girls’ don’t appeal to every girl gamer out there. I personally wouldn’t be seen dead with a pink Play Station or Nintendo DS, I hate the color with a passion and I know I’m not the girl that feels this way. As for these so called games for girls, I don’t know about the rest of the female population out there but in my eyes they’re so patronizing.

I decided to do a search on the web typing in games for girls’ and to my horror the links related to the search came up with nothing but websites full of dress up games, applying makeup and cooking. Even in the gaming world, all girls seem to be good at is choosing a decent outfit, putting on makeup and knowing how to cook good meal. How demeaning is that girls? These games for girls’ would bore the hell out of my five year old daughter, never mind me. So, I now the question a lot of us girl would love to know the answer to. Are we not intelligent enough to play games with the big boys?

I’ve always been into what some might call boys games, I love the Need For Speeds because I’ve always had a thing for racing games and as far as they go, I think it’s the ultimate racing game. However, one example of sexism in the gaming world, is that in Need For Speed Most Wanted, you are lead through the game by Mia Townsend (Josie Maran). The way Mia’s character is directed towards you the gamer, is that you are male. Is it too much to ask, that game designers create an option on the game to say whether you are male or female and the story line relates to your sex? Or does the story line always have to evolve around the player being male?

My all time favorite game would have to be Tony Hawk, yet again another so called boys game. My other half says I’m obsessed because I own them all and play them solid for days when I get the chance. He doesn’t mind admitting I’m better than him on it either, I’ve beat him at a few of his own games too. He wasn’t too happy when I beat him on Fight Night Round 3 for the Xbox 360 though. Anyway back to the point I was going to make, although some games like Tony Hawk have the option for you to play as a girl (Elissa Steamer) or the option of having a female create a skater, some of the missions in the game are still based on the gamer being male.

So, to put an end to it all, while some games companies are kind of trying to cater to a female audience, in my eyes the gaming world is sexist with games like Leisure Suit Larry. In my opinion, yes the gaming world is still a boy world but it is changing slowly. Just an idea to the gaming industry, one which I’ve already stated above, the choice to state whether you are male or female and have the game run to that effect.
